The Practice

 

General

If you are a new patient, we would like to take this opportunity of welcoming you to this practice.

Should you wish to make an appointment please contact reception who will be happy to assist you.

 

The Practice

We are a three surgery practice with two hygienists working part time.

 

Policy

It is our policy for each patient to see one dentist on a continuing basis. However, if this is not possible for any reason, suitable alternative arrangements will be made for you to see someone within the practice.

 

Treatment and Charges

We are an independent practice. This means adult patients are seen on a non-NHS basis. Patients under 18, or those with a valid NHS exemption from dental charges, can still receive free treatment under the NHS.

 

Denplan

We are a Denplan Excel registered practice. This allows you to be treated as a private patient for a monthly payment. Please ask for details.

 

Appointments

We always try to see patients at the appointed time. If you are kept waiting there is normally a good reason. Please be patient.

If you have to cancel an appointment we require, whenever possible, 24 hours notice. This enables us to make alternative arrangements, perhaps to someone in pain.

 

Confidentiality

Strict confidentiality of patient records and information is maintained at all times. Patient records will not be passed on to any third parties without the patients express permission. If you wish share information with a family, i.e. regarding appointments we do have a consent form.

 

Emergency Service

If you are in pain during surgery hours please telephone and every effort will be made to see you as soon as possible.

If you are in pain outside of surgery hours, telephone the emergency number 111. If you need to see a dentist arrangements will be made, although not necessarily with someone from this practice.

Protection

As a caring practice we take all necessary precautions to safeguard both patients and staff against blood-borne infections such as HIV and Hepatitis. We follow recommended guidelines with regard to sterilisation of instruments and the use of disposable items.

 

 

Complaints

Should you have any complaints please ask to speak to the practice manager or one of the partners who are responsible for our in-practice complaints procedure. A copy is available to read upon request.

 

Facilities  For The Disabled

Unfortunately our premises are not suitable for certain types of disabled people because some of our surgeries are located on the first floor.

We do have an entrance ramp and the downstairs surgery is accessible. Please ask reception for further information.

 

Abusive or violent behaviour

If a patient is abusive or violent to any staff  or other patients, treatment will be terminated and the police  may be informed.

Wednesday    8.00am – 4.45pm

Thursday         8.00am – 4.00pm

Friday              8.00am – 3.30pm

 

Closed for lunch 12.00pm – 12.45pm
